Red Tulip 150 Purse Adds a Flash of Colour
The Tulip 150 Purse is the latest addition to the Christine Vonbun handbag collection. This small bag makes a bold design statement to celebrate the milestone of Canada’s 150th birthday; this sharp red tulip purse will only be available in 2017.
This handbag in neutral beige leather is the perfect “will go with anything” colour. However, Christine’s design is sensational with the striking black Italian leather bottom, and the red ostrich flower (tulip) appliqué adds that flash of colour that will make others notice.
The Tulip 150 has a secure zip top closure. This purse is lined with light blue suede leather and has two interior pockets (one zippered).
All Christine VonBun handbags come with a black dust bag for protective storage.
The Tulip 150 purse is 30 x 16 x 6 (cm) or 12 x 6 x 2.5 (inches) with a handle drop of 22 cm (8.5 inches).
All handbags are made to order, please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.

- founder and designer, Christine Vonbun
Christine is originally from Vienna, Austria, where she earned a degree in Fashion Design and a Certification as a Master-Craftsman in Handbag Design. Her education instilled in her a deep respect for the tradition and craft of handbag design, which is why Christine VonBun bags are produced only on a small scale, with the sort of attention to detail that is otherwise lost in a sea of mass-manufacturing.
After beginning her career in Austria, at De La Rue, Christine moved to Cape Town, South Africa to work for Cape Cobra. While there, she was struck by the exotic beauty of local leathers - ostrich, crocodile and lizard. The influence of her time in Africa can clearly be seen in her new line of exotic skin bags, which introduce a variety of new materials to the North American handbag market.
Christine first showed her own collection of high end leather handbags at the Toronto “One of a Kind” Christmas show in 2005 - under her first label “Morris B”. She continued showing at the OOAK spring show until 2010. After that she went back to the corporate world until a recent launch of her new collection under her own name brand Christine VonBun.
Christine’s vision has not changed - making bags that are aesthetically beautiful and functional, perfect in every detail and of course all handmade by herself in her Toronto studio!
Designed with passion - handmade to perfection - timelessly elegant
